I just wanted to wish every single one of you a very happy 2017.
I know 2016 was tough for some, good for others and at DDH UK we are here in the good times and the bad.
Whoever you are, where ever you live and whatever is happening, please continue to use this forum, and the charity website, as a place for information but most importantly support.
I want to say a massive thanks to Debbie and Karen for their ongoing help as charity volunteers, I couldn’t do this without them.
DDH UK is growing charity and having a team had made massive difference to what we are now achieving. From media coverage around the world, to support groups, the , meet ups and fundraising, these ladies are vital and keep me focussed!
Ashley in Scotland, Kris in America, Michelle in Australia and Dawn in England are all amazing admins and help so many people and I can’t thank them enough for all they do.
Gemma Almond is the most awesome Patron and I am so excited about plans for 2017 and Michelle thank you for letting Noah be our first ambassador!
Penina, you are just the best nurse and a massive help so thank you for your help and dedication and Sophie your help and support has been vital too.
Jen I am looking forward to seeing people buying your gorgeous DDH UK jewellery in 2017.
Samantha you have been a massive support to me and are a dear friend, I hope we might see you and Lucy in Devon in 2017.
Thank you to Joanna for looking over my press releases.
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped with fundraising, we really, really do appreciate it and it will help take us forwards next year.
A big thank you to my brave, darling son, Lucas, for inspiring me to do write Cast Life and create DDH UK and to Eddie for being the best big brother and to my husband, Oliver, for supporting my work and campaigning and putting up with me talking about hips wherever we go.
As I always say, DDH isn’t life threatening but for many it is life changing so I want to ensure people all over the world have the support they need and no one ever feels alone on their journey towards healthy. hips.
2016 was just the start of DDH UK and we look forward to bigger, better things for all of you in 2017.
Happy New Year everyone.
Love.
