“Spica Warrior” is a step by step guide story for children with Hip Dysplasia written by Karen Kerr whose daughter, Lauren, has the condition. It helps them come to terms with the fact they need surgery and a Spica cast in a fun way with the Spica Warrior characters. It is hope this fun book will make the journey less scary and is also an excellent resource for parents to not only explain the situation but also find the words to tell their children and others close to them. The book can be purchased on Etsy for £5 plus shipping costs.
